The Capitol City Labor Program is an independent 501(c)(5) non-profit labor union. Founded in 1967, CCLP represents nearly 800 government and municipal law enforcement professionals in Clinton, Eaton, Genesee, Gratiot, and Ingham Counties.

CCLP is a member of the Michigan Association of Police Organizations. MAPO is the state’s largest legislative lobbying organization representing police officers.

MAPO’s mission is to promote, introduce, and advocate for legislation to improve the safety, wages, benefits, and terms and conditions of employment of Michigan’s police officers.

Capitol City Labor Program, Inc. is a union representing about 700 people employed in positions of police officers, correctional officers, 911 dispatchers, parking enforcement and related police work. Our members work for local or county government in Clinton, Eaton, Ingham and Jackson counties. The union represents supervisory and non-supervisory employees.
